Order Insights ("we," "us," or "our") is an analytics platform for Etsy sellers. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our service, how we use it, and the steps we take to keep it safe.
By creating an account or using Order Insights, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
When you connect your Etsy shop, you authorise Order Insights through Etsy's official OAuth system. We never see or store your Etsy password. We only request read-only access to your shop's orders, listings, and public shop information — we cannot make changes to your shop on your behalf.
We will never sell, rent, or share your Etsy data or any personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. Your data is used solely to provide you with analytics about your own shop.
You can disconnect your Etsy shop at any time from your account settings, which immediately revokes our access.
When you register, we collect your name and email address. This is used to identify your account, send transactional emails (such as password resets), and communicate with you about your subscription.
Once you connect your shop, we sync and store your order history, listing details, and shop information from the Etsy API. This data is tied to your account and used exclusively to generate your analytics dashboards. Buyer information from Etsy (such as country, state, and anonymised buyer identifiers) is stored only as provided by Etsy and is used solely to power analytics features like geographic breakdowns and repeat buyer rates.
We may collect basic server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. This information is used only for debugging, security monitoring, and improving the service. It is not linked to your identity for advertising purposes.
If you subscribe to Order Insights Pro, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or payment details — Stripe handles all payment data and is PCI-compliant. We store only a Stripe customer ID and subscription status in order to manage your access level.
We do not use your data to train machine learning models, build advertising profiles, or sell insights to third parties.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:
We retain your account data and shop data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information and shop data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes (such as billing records).
We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit and encrypted storage at rest. Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel only.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Order Insights is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice in the app. The date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last revised. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
